How AdSwappers Works AdSwappers is a group of advertising exchanges that webmasters can participate in to bring more visitors to their site. While each program assigns credits separately, you are able to convert credits between programs and receive the method of advertising that is best for your site. You can also exchange credits with other users as an type of "currency" within our network. Our complement of services and the advertising options available to you will continue to grow. Currently, you can use ClickSwappers, PopUpSwappers, TimeSwappers, and SearchSwappers to bring traffic to your site. These programs are explained below. Perhaps one of the most important elements of AdSwappers is its referral program. When you refer a user to our service, you will receive credit for every service with a referral program that your referrals use, even services that are not yet activated when the refer the user to this site. Once you refer a user to AdSwappers, he remains your referral as long as he is a member, and you will earn credit for all present and future use of the AdSwappers system. The sheer breadth of our referral program sets us far ahead of our competition and makes it even more urgent that you refer users to the system before your competitors do. ClickSwappers ClickSwappers is designed as a webmaster community that allows webmasters to receive visits to their own site in exchange for visiting other peoples' sites. For every site that you visit, you will earn .8 credits. Since each credit can be exchanged for a visit to your site, every time that you visit 5 sites, you will have 4 people visit yours. You will also receive .1 credit for each site that one of your referrals visits and .05 credits for each site that one of your referrals' referrals visits.
As you can see from the diagram above, a maximum of only .95 credits are distributed for each site visited. The additional .05 credit and referral bonuses for users that do not have two levels of referrers will be used for other promotions and/or sold. Unlike other programs that distribute over 1 credit per site visited, we do not accumulate a click-debt. In other words, there are never more credits awarded than sites visited. As explained in the FAQ, this allows us to maintain a higher quality of service. Nonetheless, since you are only required to spend 20 seconds on each site that you visit, instead of the 30 seconds that our competitors require, you can still earn more visits using our service than you would using theirs. We can offer you better exposure than our competitors by ensuring that each ClickSwappers window is maximized when users visit sites. This allows them to see more of your site and makes more of an impression on them. Note: You will only receive credit for each referral's visits up to the number of visits you have made, yourself. This policy, and the reasoning behind it, is explained in the FAQ. This limitation currently applies only to the ClickSwappers, TimeSwappers, and SearchSwappers services. StartSwappers By changing your default home page to one provided to you by AdSwappers, you will automatically load a different member's page every time that you open your browser. In exchange, you will receive credits that will cause your page to be automatically loaded as other users' home page. This process is completely non-invasive and offers you the opportunity to show users your page as soon as they open up their browsers. Unlike other start page exchanges, we ensure your site is viewed in a maximized window and only give credit for one load every 20 seconds. This helps prevent fraud and ensure that your site receives additional exposure. For each page you display, you will receive .8 credits; for each page that one of your referrals displays, you will receive .1 credits, and for each page that one of your referrals' referrals displays, you will receive .05 credits.
Though the exchange ratio may be lower than some banner exchanges, you are guaranteed to receive one visitor per credit, far more than the number of visitors per credit to your site when your ad is displayed on StartSwappers than they would when your ad is displayed on a traditional banner exchange (generally 1 per 100 credits). Like ClickSwappers, you will receive credit for each of your referral's usage of StartSwappers only up to the number of pages you view, yourself. For more information about referral-matching policies, please read the FAQ. TimeSwappers The TimeSwappers software resides on your computer and rotates banner ads every 20 seconds, provided you are actively using your computer and connected to the Internet (you do not need to be suring the Internet, however). For every two ads you view, you receive one display of your ad on another user's TimeSwappers window. In addition, you receive TimeSwappers credits for each of your referral's use of the TimeSwappers window up to the number of ads that you have viewed, yourself. Credits are allocated for each referral's ad view as follows, up to the number of ads that you, yourself, have viewed.
Unlike banners that load through traditional banner exchanges, TimeSwappers ads are displayed in the viewable desktop area for 20 seconds. Users cannot simply ignore the ad and remove it from view immediately after it loads. Consequently, you will likely receive a much better click-through rate than you otherwise would. In addition, you have the ability to use the additional time that your ad will be viewed to raise a greater awareness among users, even those who do not ultimately click through to your site. SearchSwappers The SearchSwappers service allows you to receive credits whenever you use the search feature built-in to the TimeSwappers software. Since the banner is displayed in the top frame, it is visible for the entire time that the viewer parses the search results, and your ad is therefore visible longer than a traditional banner ad, that can be removed from view by scrolling down the page. For every five ads you view, you receive four displays of your ad on another user's search results page. In addition, you receive SearchSwappers credits each time one of your referrals performs a search using the TimeSwappers software, up to the number of searches that you have performed, yourself. Credits are allocated for each referral's search as follows, up to the number of ads that you, yourself, have viewed.
You can use SearchSwappers just as you would use any other search engine, except you receive free advertising impressions for every search you make through the TimeSwappers software. Since the software resides on your desktop when you are on the Internet, the search function is convenient in addition to giving you free ad impressions.
